Acrylfarbe ist für mich nicht einfach ein Material – sie ist die Stimme meiner Kunst. Jede Nuance, jeder Ton erzählt eine Geschichte. Damit diese Geschichten kraftvoll wirken, braucht es nicht nur Kreativität, sondern auch hochwertige Farbe.
Warum Qualität entscheidend ist
Billige Farben verlieren schnell an Leuchtkraft, wirken matt oder verändern ihren Ton nach dem Trocknen. Hochwertige Acrylfarben dagegen bleiben stabil, strahlen auch nach Jahren und zeigen die Tiefe, die ein Kunstwerk verdient. Sie sind intensiver pigmentiert, besser mischbar und ermöglichen satte, klare Kontraste – unverzichtbar für meine Serie Helden zum Anlehnen.
Die Schichttechnik – Intensität braucht Zeit
Jedes meiner Werke besteht aus zwei bis drei Farbschichten. Warum? Weil Pop-Art nicht flach ist – sie lebt von Intensität und Dynamik. Die erste Schicht legt den Grundton, die zweite bringt Tiefe, die dritte macht den Unterschied: Sie lässt die Farben fast leuchten, gibt ihnen Volumen und Kraft.
Dieser Prozess ist zeitaufwendig. Zwischen den Schichten braucht es Trockenphasen, Geduld und ein Auge für Balance. Doch das Ergebnis lohnt sich: ein Bild, das nicht nur gesehen, sondern gefühlt wird.

Acrylic paint is not simply a material to me – it is the voice of my art. Every nuance, every tone tells a story. For these stories to resonate with strength, it takes more than creativity – it takes high-quality paint.
Why Quality Matters
Cheap paints quickly lose their brilliance, appear dull, or change tone after drying. High-quality acrylics, on the other hand, remain stable, radiant even after years, and reveal the depth a work of art deserves. They are more richly pigmented, easier to mix, and allow for vivid, clear contrasts – essential for my series Heroes to Lean On.
The Layering Technique – Intensity Takes Time
Each of my works consists of two to three layers of paint. Why? Because Pop Art is not flat – it lives from intensity and movement. The first layer sets the tone, the second creates depth, and the third makes the difference: it makes the colors almost glow, giving them volume and power.
This process takes time. Between layers there must be drying phases, patience, and a keen sense of balance. But the result is worth it – a painting that is not only seen but felt.
